Wildlife is part of the everyday experience at Lyndor CL, and many guests are surprised by how much they can spot from the site and nearby lanes—birds of prey overhead, songbirds in the hedgerows, deer at the field edges, rabbits and hares, plus plenty of other seasonal visitors if you’re up early or out at dusk.

While you’re here, set yourself a simple challenge: how many different animals and birds can you record during your stay?

Bring binoculars if you have them, and see who in your group can build the longest list.

A number of the wildlife images in our gallery below have been captured by our own campers during their visits, and we’re also grateful for the work of Michael Dymmick, a talented local photographer based in How Caple, whose photographs help showcase the diversity of wildlife to be found close to the site
